Devotee dies of cardiac arrest in Palani temple

A 50-year-old man from Mohanur, Namakkal district, died after experiencing chest pain and breathing difficulties at the Sri Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple in Palani. The incident occurred while he was waiting in line for darshan on Wednesday. The man, identified as Selvamani, was part of a 12-member group returning from a visit to the Sabarimala temple. After climbing the temple steps, he suddenly felt unwell. He was quickly taken to a nearby government hospital, but unfortunately, he did not survive. Medical staff indicated that he suffered a cardiac arrest. Local police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
