DHS raids Columbia University dorms after activist's arrest
The Department of Homeland Security raided two dorm rooms at Columbia University on Thursday night, following the arrest of pro-Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil. Interim President Katrina Armstrong confirmed the students were not arrested and emphasized the university's protocol for law enforcement visits. Protesters vandalized Armstrong's residence shortly after the raid, leaving red paint and the message "Free Them All." No arrests were made in connection with the vandalism. The Trump administration has revoked the visa of a Columbia student and arrested another for overstaying their visa. Columbia has been warned to assist in identifying students allegedly supporting Hamas to restore $400 million in federal funding.
