Dichen Lachman reveals secrets about Severance's Project Cold Harbor
Dichen Lachman, an actress in the Apple TV+ series "Severance," recently shared details about her understanding of Project Cold Harbor before the show's season 2 finale. This project has intrigued fans since its mention in the first episode of the season. Lachman explained that she did not learn the full details about Cold Harbor until shortly before filming for the tenth episode. She received the script for that episode just a few weeks before they started shooting. In contrast, she had the script for the seventh episode for a longer time, which allowed her to better grasp the story's direction. In the season 2 finale, titled "Cold Harbor," viewers finally discover that the project is a test area with a crib in the center. This crib is a duplicate of one used by Mark and Gemma, a key plot point in the series. In the story, Gemma is the subject of the tests to see if the severance procedure can create multiple versions of a person, known as "innies." After completing her tests, Lumon, the fictional company behind the severance experiment, plans to eliminate Gemma. Lachman said that her creators, Dan Erickson and Ben Stiller, kept her mostly in the dark about significant details. She noted that she is also unaware of when filming for season 3 will begin or what the new scripts contain. As for Gemma’s story, Lachman expressed curiosity about how the series will explore her character's multiple innies and what that might mean in the real world. She believes there are endless possibilities for the show's future.
