Disabled woman’s Tesla vandalized in Wichita restaurant incident

A disabled woman, Abigail Gill, experienced significant damage to her Tesla while dining with family at Olive Garden in Wichita on March 20. After their meal, they discovered deep scratches along her brand new red car. Gill stated that the vandalism might be linked to her car being a Tesla, a brand associated with Elon Musk. She expressed her disappointment, saying that damage to her vehicle does not affect Musk but severely impacts her. The estimated repair costs could range from $1,000 to $10,000. The suspect, seen in Lilo and Stitch pajama pants, was recorded damaging eight panels of the car. He first walked past the vehicle without incident before returning and keying both the driver’s and passenger's doors. Gill hopes the police will find the culprit and that he faces consequences for his actions. Following the incident, Gill and her family have been concerned about the safety of their Teslas in public places. Gill noted that her car is essential for her mobility due to her disability. In recent weeks, there have been other incidents of vandalism towards Tesla vehicles. Authorities are treating these attacks seriously, and President Donald Trump has made strong statements, calling such acts "terrorism" and threatening severe penalties, including long prison sentences for offenders.
