Disney+ renews Percy Jackson for Season 3 already
Disney+ has announced that it has renewed "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" for a third season. This decision comes before the release of the show's second season. The first season aired from December 19, 2023, to January 30, 2024. It was well-received, with a 91% approval rating based on 65 reviews. The show has also won several Children's and Family Emmy Awards and was Disney+'s most-watched original series in 2024. The series is based on the popular book series by Rick Riordan. The first season adapted "The Lightning Thief," while Season 2 will adapt "The Sea of Monsters." The upcoming third season will focus on "The Titan's Curse." The main cast includes Walker Scobell as Percy Jackson, Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase, and Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood. Season 2 will feature a new character, Tyson, played by Daniel Diemer. Production for Season 2 was completed earlier this year, and it is expected to debut in December 2025. Rick Riordan has confirmed that work on Season 3 is already underway.
