Disney's Cotino community near Palm Springs welcomes residents
A new Disney-themed community called Cotino is set to welcome its first residents this spring. Located near Palm Springs, California, the neighborhood features 300 homes designed by Walt Disney Imagineering. Homes in Cotino start at around $4 million. The smallest homes offer around 2,200 square feet with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Larger estates can be as big as 7,200 square feet with five bedrooms and five bathrooms. Cotino aims to be the first 'Disney Storyliving' community, offering a creative environment for Disney fans. It is planned to expand to about 1,700 homes and 400 hotel rooms in the future. Additionally, the town center, which will include shops and restaurants, is expected to open in 2026. The community will also feature an exclusive Artisan Club for residents, offering amenities like fitness facilities, sports courts, and a creative studio. The club will have a $20,000 initiation fee and annual fees ranging from $11,000 to $19,000. Members of the Artisan Club will have access to Cotino Bay, which features artificial lagoons and beaches. The Parr House, inspired by The Incredibles 2, will be available for club events and gatherings. Residents can also enjoy several parks tailored for families and pets. Disney has previously developed similar communities, such as Celebration in Florida. The company is also planning another Storyliving community called Asteria in North Carolina. New home buyers can take advantage of discounted fees and credits if they purchase before June 30.
