Dispute over alleged casualties from PTI march intensifies in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD: Disputes over alleged deaths from police action against PTI marchers intensified on Wednesday. PTI leaders claimed at least six to twenty supporters died, while the government denied any casualties, stating no live firearms were used by security personnel. Healthcare authorities have not released official casualty figures, leading to confusion and unverified reports circulating on social media. Hospitals typically provide updates after such incidents, but this time, they have remained silent. PTI leader Salman Akram Raja named several victims and accused the state of instructing hospitals to destroy records. Four individuals believed to have died were buried in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with reports indicating they suffered bullet injuries.
