She started with a white wall, which she described as an “old stone wall,” making it difficult to add heavy fixtures. To solve this, she chose to use multiple mirror tiles to reflect more light into the space. Jade painted the wall using a technique with frog tape to ensure clean lines. She then added a color block, opting for black paint, before aligning the mirrors. The results surprised her and received high praise online. The video quickly went viral, gathering over two million views, 76,300 likes, and 11,200 saves. While many viewers praised the transformation, some were less impressed, calling the mirrors "cheap" or reminiscent of 70s decor. Despite mixed reactions, Jade's hack has inspired others facing similar hallway lighting challenges.
