The video includes an American-accented voiceover that guides the robot. It emphasizes that Atom can handle delicate items with ease. However, experts question how effective Atom would be in a real, messy kitchen, compared to the controlled environment of the video. Interest in humanoid robots is growing in the tech industry. Companies like Tesla and Agility Robotics are developing robots that could assist with household tasks. The affordability of these robots is still uncertain, but prices are gradually decreasing. For instance, Unitree offers quadrupedal robots at lower prices than some competitors. Atom has impressive features, including 28 points of movement and the ability to adapt to its surroundings. Its AI system, called Robot Operator Model-1, gives it the computing power similar to modern gaming systems. Dobot claims Atom can perform tasks like soldering and calibrating intricate devices. Dobot plans to sell Atom for $27,500 later this year and is currently accepting preorders. Humanoid robots are already being used in warehouses, taking on various jobs throughout the day. The potential for humanoid robots to adapt to different tasks could transform various industries in the future.
