Doctor shot dead in nursing home in Patna

A doctor in Patna was shot dead inside a nursing home, according to police. Dr. Surabhi Raj, director of Asian Hospital, was attacked by unidentified assailants. The incident happened at the nursing home located in the Agamkuan area. Witnesses say the attackers entered the nursing home and opened fire. After being shot, Dr. Raj was rushed to AIIMS in Phulwari Sharif, but was pronounced dead on arrival. Reports indicate that the assailants shot her multiple times. The motive behind the murder is still unknown. The police have started an investigation and are reviewing CCTV footage from the nursing home and nearby locations to identify the attackers. Nursing staff at the hospital reported that a meeting was about to take place for employee training. When they entered Dr. Raj's office, they found her body on the floor, covered in blood. The police have also deployed forensic teams and dog squads to gather more evidence.
