DOE approves 23 more renewable energy projects for grid compatibility study

The Department of Energy (DOE) has approved 23 additional renewable energy projects for a study to assess their compatibility with the national grid. This follows the endorsement of 24 projects in October. Among the new projects, there are 12 solar and 11 wind developments. Notable projects include a 2-gigawatt wind project by Bondoc Wind Corp. and a 100-megawatt wind project by First Gen Visayas Energy Inc. Since January, the DOE has endorsed a total of 172 projects for grid impact studies, including 66 clean energy projects and five energy storage systems.
