Dog Moose reunited with owner after car theft
A man has been arrested for stealing a car with a dog inside in Michigan. The incident happened early Tuesday near Lansing. The stolen vehicle was found later that morning, but the dog, named Moose, was missing. Moose is a German shorthaired pointer. After the vehicle was reported stolen, the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office asked the community for help in finding him. By Tuesday afternoon, Moose was safely reunited with his owner, who was very grateful. Around 2 a.m. Tuesday, deputies were called to Cedar Street and Holt Road about the stolen vehicle. The owner informed them that Moose was inside the car. The vehicle was located around 9 a.m., abandoned about three miles away, but Moose was not there. Police arrested a 26-year-old man from Mason at 11 a.m. He is being investigated for stealing both the car and the dog. The case will be sent to the local prosecutor’s office for further action. Fortunately, Moose was later found in good health.
