The customer's son was unable to purchase any. The customer's complaint, shared on social media, highlighted the scarcity of Pokémon cards due to high demand, fueled by the new Pokémon TCG Pocket app and reselling. Dollar General expressed regret and requested a direct message from the customer. The issue of limited card availability extends beyond Dollar General, with similar problems reported at Walmart, where theft and destruction of displays have occurred. Costco has already implemented purchase limits.
