$150 million data center opens in Pasig, Philippines
Beeinfotech PH has opened a new data center in Pasig City, Philippines, costing $150 million. This facility, known as the HIVE Hybrid Data Center, is one of the largest 'telco-neutral' data centers in the country. It features over 3,600 racks and covers an area of 43,000 square meters. The CEO of Beeinfotech PH, Wing Cheung, highlighted eight key advantages of the HIVE center. These include business continuity, scalability, security, and sustainability. He mentioned that the center will be an essential hub connecting various sectors, aiding in connectivity and economic growth. The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (Peza) supports such investments, promoting digital growth and job creation. They offer incentives like tax holidays and enhanced deductions to encourage data center developments.
