Dominic Clemons to debut at PGA Tour's Rocket Classic
A promising college golfer, Dominic Clemons, is set to make his debut on the PGA Tour at the Rocket Classic later this year. This event will take place from June 26 to 29. Clemons, who plays for the University of Alabama, received an exemption from the Folds of Honor organization to enter the tournament. Clemons is 22 years old and hails from Cambridge, England. He has experience playing at high levels, having competed as an amateur in the 2024 Open Championship. However, he did not make the cut, scoring 77-78 in the first two rounds. The Folds of Honor is a nonprofit that provides scholarships for the families of fallen or disabled military members and first responders. Clemons earned his spot in the Rocket Classic by winning a collegiate event hosted by the organization last fall. As he approaches his first professional tournament, Clemons is also a contender for the prestigious Ben Hogan Award, which honors the top college golfer in the U.S. This award has previously been given to well-known golfers like Jon Rahm and Viktor Hovland. Clemons’ participation in the Rocket Classic could be an important step in his career on the PGA Tour.
