Domino's Pizza names new CEO as Don Meij retires after 22 years
Domino's Pizza will have a new CEO after Don Meij retires on Wednesday, ending his 22-year tenure. Mark van Dyck, previously with Compass Group, will take over leadership as the company faces recent sales challenges. Under Meij, Domino's expanded from 387 stores and $300 million in sales in 2005 to over 3,700 stores and more than $4 billion in sales in 2024. He started as a delivery driver and has been with the company for nearly 40 years. Van Dyck is expected to bring his experience in transforming businesses to Domino's. He previously led significant growth at Compass Group and Coca-Cola. His annual salary will be $1.585 million, along with company shares.
