Donkervoort reveals P24 RS supercar, ends Audi partnership
Dutch carmaker Donkervoort has unveiled its new supercar, the P24 RS. This model is significant as it ends a 25-year partnership with Audi for engine supply. The company is now looking for new engine options. The P24 RS has personal significance for CEO Denis Donkervoort. The 'P' stands for his daughter Phébe, and '24' is her birth year, 2024. This naming approach continues from the previous model, the F22, named after his first daughter, Filippa, who was born in 2022. Additionally, the 'RS' in the name is a nod to the D8 270 RS, which set a record for production cars at the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 2006. The P24 RS showcases the brand’s commitment to innovation and ties to family legacy.
