Driver accused of bus fire in Pune remains hospitalized

The driver of a staff bus for Vyoma Graphics in Hinjewadi, Pune is still in the ICU after being accused of setting the bus on fire. Janardan Humbardikar has about 15% burns and is receiving treatment at Ruby Hall Clinic. The incident occurred at around 7:45 AM on March 19. It resulted in the deaths of four employees, while six others were hospitalized with burn injuries. Police plan to arrest Humbardikar after he is discharged from the hospital, where he faces charges of murder and attempted murder. According to hospital statements, Humbardikar's recovery is going well, but he will need physiotherapy due to issues with his lower limb. He is expected to be released next week if he can walk properly. In addition to his burns, he suffers from diabetes and high blood pressure, complicating his condition. Meanwhile, two other injured victims are being treated at Surya Sahyadri Hospital. The recovery process for these patients is steady, but they may need an additional two weeks before being discharged. The medical teams are closely monitoring their progress.
