Driver caught drunk in Porsche in Cheshire

A 27-year-old woman, Lucy Mustard, was caught driving her high-speed Porsche while drunk in Cheshire. She was stopped by police after looking for a restroom while 125 miles from her home in Northamptonshire. Mustard tested more than double the legal alcohol limit, which is 35 micrograms in breath. She had attempted to use a closed restroom at a garage before being reported to the police for her erratic driving. At Crewe Magistrates Court, she admitted to drink-driving and was banned from driving for 19 months. Mustard was also fined £621, plus additional costs. Her mother attended the court to support her. In her defense, Mustard's lawyer stated that there was no evidence of erratic driving and emphasized the stress Mustard was under due to family medical emergencies. Mustard faces additional personal pressures but acknowledged that these do not excuse her actions. The magistrate noted her previously clean record and displayed remorse, allowing her to attend a drink-drive awareness course that could reduce her ban by a quarter.
