A tanker driver was killed in a fiery crash involving three tankers in Bhilwara district early Friday. The accident happened around 6 a.m. near the Ladpura intersection on the Kota-Chittorgarh National Highway. The crash involved a cement-filled tanker colliding with two empty tankers. The driver, identified as 45-year-old Shambhu Dhakad from Phool Ji Ki Khedi village, was trapped in his vehicle as flames consumed all three tankers. After the collision, a major fire broke out, causing long traffic delays on the highway. Bhilwara Superintendent of Police Dharmendra Singh Yadav reported that police responded quickly due to the intense flames. Probationary IPS officer Jatin Jain stated that the accident was caused by the cement tanker speeding and then braking suddenly, which caused its tyres to ignite. Firefighters from nearby Nitin Spinners and the Bhilwara Municipal Corporation arrived soon after and managed to extinguish the flames. Unfortunately, all three tankers were completely destroyed in the fire. The body of Dhakad has been sent to his family after a post-mortem examination. Investigations into the accident are now underway.
