Drunk couple assaults traffic inspector in Bengaluru

A man and woman were arrested in Mahadevapura after allegedly assaulting a traffic police inspector during a drink-and-drive checkpoint. Their vehicle was seized due to the man's high blood alcohol level. The incident escalated when the woman verbally abused the inspector and physically attacked her after being told to obtain a court release for the bike. Both suspects are bank employees and face charges of obstructing a public servant and assault. Police confirmed both had been drinking and emphasized that strict action will be taken against those obstructing law enforcement.
