Dryden students premiere "The Hello Girls" musical
Students at Dryden High School are set to stage the regional premiere of the musical "The Hello Girls." This play tells the real story of the first women telephone operators in the U.S. military during World War I. A total of 49 students are involved in the production, including cast members and crew. The show is being guided by a dedicated directorial team, supported by more than two dozen volunteers from the school and the community. "The Hello Girls" showcases the struggles these women faced as they proved their abilities compared to their male counterparts. It also highlights their fight for recognition after returning from service. Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday, March 28, and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, in the Dryden High School auditorium. Tickets will be available at the door, priced at $5 for students and seniors, and $10 for adults. Veterans and active military personnel can attend for free.
