Dubai motorists advised against illegal parking during prayers

Dubai Police have reminded drivers to avoid illegal parking near mosques during Taraweeh and Qiyam prayers in Ramadan. This warning comes as the holy month approaches its final days, which often see increased attendance at these prayers. Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei said that blocking roads with parked cars disrupts traffic, especially in residential neighborhoods. He announced that traffic patrols would be increased to help manage the flow of vehicles and ensure safety. Common parking violations include double parking, which can block other cars from leaving, parking on sidewalks that impede pedestrians, and obstructing traffic lanes, particularly near busy intersections. Major General Al Mazrouei stressed the importance of proper parking and quick exits after prayers to prevent congestion. The police will deploy teams to manage traffic around mosques and assist worshippers. They urged the public to be considerate and work with authorities for a safe driving environment as Ramadan comes to an end.
