Dubai's Al Khail Metro Station is now Al Fardan Exchange
The Al Khail Metro Station in Dubai has been renamed to Al Fardan Exchange Metro Station. This change was announced by Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) on Tuesday. Al Khail Metro Station is situated on the Red Line, between interchanges 4 and 5 on Sheikh Zayed Road. The name change comes after RTA signed an agreement giving Al Fardan Exchange the naming rights for the station. In return, Al Fardan Exchange will have exclusive brand representation and access to advanced technologies. Abdul Muhsen Kalbat, CEO of the Rail Agency at RTA, remarked that the agreement represents a significant step for both RTA and Al Fardan Exchange. He noted that the initiative on naming rights reflects the importance of public-private partnerships and supports the UAE's economic growth. Kalbat highlighted the success of the naming rights initiative, emphasizing RTA's commitment to creating long-term partnerships with the private sector. He believes this approach fosters job creation and knowledge sharing across various industries. Hasan Fardan Al Fardan, CEO of Al Fardan Exchange, expressed pride in partnering with RTA for this key station in Dubai's Metro system. He views the partnership as a reflection of their commitment to Emirati values and sees the metro system as vital for modern urban transportation.
