Dulaney, Loch Raven, and Towson expect strong seasons
Dulaney, Loch Raven, and Towson are looking forward to a strong high school softball season in 2025. Each team has set ambitious goals as they prepare for the upcoming games. Towson coach Dan Sexton is aiming for another county championship after his team shared the title last year with Perry Hall. Junior pitcher Jelena Gardner returns to lead the team once more. She is expected to play a key role in Towson's success. Dulaney, under coach Dave Barwick, is also in a strong position. Barwick is entering his 18th year as coach and hopes to build on last year’s success when the team reached the state quarterfinals. Key players include juniors Kimani Dennis and Carley Desi, both recognized for their outstanding performances last season. Loch Raven welcomes a new coach, Chris Breznicky, who was an assistant last year. With a focus on winning, he aims to improve on last year's record of 10-6. The team has several strong returning players, including All-County selections like Marshay Campbell and Abigail Gillespie. As the season approaches, each team is focused on their goals. Dulaney aims for the county championship, while Loch Raven hopes to compete in the state tournament. Towson is also determined to make an impact in the county. Excitement is building for the spring softball season in the area.
