Dusit Thani to develop branded residence in Hua Hin
Dusit Thani, a hospitality company listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), is planning to build a new branded residence in Hua Hin. The project will cover 114 rai of land and will include 96 units. The total investment for this development is estimated at 2 billion baht. The residences will be offered under a 60-year leasehold agreement. Suphajee Suthumpun, the group's chief executive, stated that the project, called Dusit Ajara Hua Hin, will be the first Thai-branded residence in the area. The residential buildings will be located on 20 rai facing Phetkasem Road, with additional beachfront access. The prices for freehold branded residences in the area range from 200,000-250,000 baht per square meter, while non-branded units range from 120,000-180,000 baht per square meter. The leasehold prices will be lower. The development will consist of seven low-rise buildings, with three six-storey towers and four three-storey buildings. Each six-storey building will have a maximum of 20 units, while the three-storey buildings will have 10 units each. Dusit Thani expects that about 60% of the buyers will be Thai, as domestic demand drives the Hua Hin property market. The other 40% of buyers are likely to be foreigners, mainly from Scandinavian countries. To support the sales process, a sales gallery is being built in Hua Hin, with an official project launch scheduled for next month. Construction is set to begin next year, with completion expected in 2028. Mrs. Suthumpun mentioned that Dusit Thani has made considerable investments in their other projects, like Dusit Central Park, where residential sales have already exceeded 90%.
