Dust alert issued in parts of the UAE

Residents in the UAE should be cautious today due to dusty weather. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued a yellow dust alert on March 21. Strong winds from the southeast are causing blowing dust and sand. Visibility is expected to drop to less than 2000 meters in some areas until 6 PM. The lowest temperature recorded today was 12.3 degrees Celsius in Raknah, near Al Ain. Coastal and island regions will see temperatures between 30 and 35 degrees Celsius. Looking ahead to the weekend, temperatures will decrease significantly on Sunday and Monday. There is a chance of light rain on Sunday morning, especially over islands. Winds will continue to produce dust and sand, affecting visibility from March 23 to 25. Wind speeds could reach up to 50 km/hr during this time.
