Eagles may sign Brandon Scherff to replace Becton
The Philadelphia Eagles have lost starting right guard Mekhi Becton, who signed a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Chargers worth $10 million annually. This follows a trend of the Eagles cutting costs during the free agent signing period. To fill the gap, the Eagles are considering signing veteran guard Brandon Scherff for about $6 million per year. Scherff, a five-time Pro Bowler, could provide more stability than the recently acquired Kenyon Green. The Eagles are also looking at their younger players, including Tyler Steen and Trevor Keegan, to compete for the right guard position. Steen performed well in 2024 and may have a strong chance to secure the starting role.
