Eagles might draft offensive tackle Grey Zabel
A former NFL general manager has predicted that the Philadelphia Eagles will choose an offensive lineman with their first-round draft pick. The mock draft was released on Tuesday and features North Dakota State tackle, Grey Zabel. The Eagles are looking for a replacement after Mekhi Becton, their former right guard, joined the Los Angeles Chargers. With the draft approaching, Mike Tannenbaum, the former Jets GM, believes Zabel fits the team's needs. He emphasized Zabel's toughness, which is valued by the Eagles. Zabel stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 316 pounds. Last season, he allowed only one sack and helped his team, North Dakota State, win the FCS championship. He has strong blocking skills and good speed, making him effective in both protecting the quarterback and helping runs. Competition is expected this summer for the starting position. Kenyon Green, who was traded to the Eagles, and Tyler Steen are also in the mix for the role. Green, a first-round pick in 2022, aims to revive his career, while Steen has experience from last season's games. The Eagles are set to make their choice soon, as the draft date approaches.
