Earl Holliman, a veteran actor known for roles in "The Rainmaker" and "Police Woman," has died at 96. He passed away in hospice care at his home in Studio City, California, as confirmed by his partner. Holliman began his career in 1953 and gained fame for his role in "The Rainmaker," winning a Golden Globe. He also appeared in the first episode of "The Twilight Zone" and had a notable role in the 1970s series "Police Woman." In addition to acting, Holliman was an animal rights activist and served as president of Actors and Others for Animals. He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1977.
