Early diagnosis vital for preventing vision complications

Union Minister Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar stressed the importance of early detection of eye problems to prevent serious vision issues. He made this statement during the inauguration of Medex Hospitals Super Speciality Eye Care in Guntur, stating that timely identification allows for effective treatment. The new hospital is designed with advanced facilities that meet American standards. Dr. Chandra Sekhar praised the Bhashyam Group, which runs the hospital, for its contributions to education and employment in the region. He noted that the group has educated over 15,000 students and created jobs for 4,000 people. During his speech, the minister highlighted the government's dedication to healthcare. He mentioned the Ayushman Bharat scheme, which provides insurance coverage of up to ₹5 lakh for patients. Additionally, the NTR Vaidya Seva scheme supports medical costs up to ₹25 lakh, while the CM Relief Fund can cover up to 97% of healthcare expenses in Andhra Pradesh. Dr. Chandra Sekhar assured the audience that health insurance will continue to evolve and that the government will provide necessary assistance based on changing needs.
