The East Singhbhum health department has instructed hospitals to prepare for heat-related illnesses due to rising temperatures. Hospitals must stock essential supplies and set up dedicated wards for heatstroke patients. On Monday, Jamshedpur recorded a high of 40.6 degrees Celsius, but evening thunderstorms lowered it to 37.1 degrees.
