EcoWaste Coalition has issued a warning about unofficial Labubu items sold in Divisoria, Manila, which may contain harmful lead. The group found that five out of 42 purchased items tested positive for lead. Most of the Labubu-inspired products lacked proper labeling and authorization. EcoWaste noted that 24 items contained polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic, which can also include harmful additives. The group advised parents to avoid these products and choose labeled, authorized toys for children. Lead exposure can have serious health effects, especially for young children and pregnant women.
