Eid Al Fitr prayers set for 15 minutes post-sunrise

Saudi Arabia is getting ready for Eid Al Fitr with a plan for prayers. The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Sheikh, has instructed all branches of the ministry to hold the prayers 15 minutes after sunrise. The prayers will be held in designated locations and mosques. However, mosques close to Eid prayer grounds or those rarely used for Eid will not host prayers. Instead, residents in those areas will gather at local prayer grounds. The ministry has issued a circular explaining how the prayers will be conducted. It states that designated imams will lead the prayers according to the Umm Al Qura calendar. In case of rain, the prayers will take place inside specific mosques for the safety and comfort of worshippers. Extensive preparations are underway for the Eid Al Fitr prayer. The Saudi Press Agency reported that the Ministry of Islamic Affairs is working to ensure all mosques and prayer areas are ready. They have implemented hygiene protocols, and maintenance has been done to electrical systems and audio equipment to ensure a comfortable experience for worshippers.
