Elderly taxi driver injured after vehicle rolls down slope

A taxi driver in Hong Kong was injured after his car rolled down a steep slope. The 66-year-old driver, named Wu, was alone in the vehicle at the time of the accident. The incident happened at around 12:24 PM on Saturday in Sai Kung. The taxi fell down a 10-meter slope near the High Island Reservoir. Police reported that the driver accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of the brake. After the taxi crashed, Wu was able to climb out on his own. He then informed the police that he was experiencing neck and back pain. He requested an ambulance for treatment. Authorities confirmed that there were no passengers in the taxi during the accident.
