Elderly woman arrested for ganja possession in Salem

A 65-year-old woman was arrested on Friday for selling ganja in Salem. The police received a tip-off and found J. Kandhyee selling the drug at Ayyanthirumaligai near Erumapalayam. They seized 1.10 kg of ganja from her. After the arrest, the police registered a case against her and sent her to prison. In a separate incident, the Ammapet police arrested a 24-year-old man named C. Thirunavukkarasu for selling ganja at Nanjampatti Roundana. They found and seized 90 grams of ganja from him. A case has also been registered against Thirunavukkarasu.
