An elderly woman was killed after confronting a young man about public urination in Lucknow’s Gosaiganj area on March 15, police reported. The victim, 62-year-old Jagrana, was found dead in an abandoned house. The accused, identified as 22-year-old Tushal, confessed to the crime and was arrested on Saturday. According to police, Jagrana saw Tushal urinating in public and confronted him. She had previously objected to his behavior, which angered him. Tushal attacked Jagrana with a metal bar and a brick, leading to her death. He is an LLB student, and his family runs a sweet shop. After the murder, Tushal disposed of the weapons in a well outside his village. Police initially investigated others based on a complaint from Jagrana's husband, Jagmohan. However, they later determined that Tushal was the main suspect after reviewing CCTV footage. This footage showed the woman visiting a store on the day she disappeared, with Tushal appearing suspicious. The autopsy revealed that Jagrana died from severe head injuries.
