Eliana Occhino wins third New York State bowling title

Eliana Occhino, a senior bowler at Christian Brothers Academy, ended her high school career with an impressive achievement. She won her third New York State title at the composite division tournament last Saturday. Occhino's season has been remarkable. She has gained recognition as one of the best high school bowlers in the country. Despite her success, she admitted to feeling nervous during her final state tournament. In addition to Occhino's victory, other Section III bowlers also performed well. Three bowlers from the region earned championships at the state composite division tournament. However, the Fulton girls bowling team finished just short of winning a title. The tournament showcased the talent of many bowlers, with over 30 from Section III qualifying for states. Overall, it was an eventful day for girls bowling in the region.
