Elon Musk urges public input on Treasury Secretary choice as Trump finalizes Cabinet picks
As President-elect Donald Trump selects his Cabinet, Elon Musk has suggested that the public should have a say in choosing the Treasury Secretary. Musk endorsed Howard Lutnick, arguing he would bring necessary change, unlike Scott Bessent, a more traditional choice. Trump has already announced several Cabinet picks, including Florida Senator Marco Rubio for Secretary of State and former Rep. Matt Gaetz for Attorney General. The Treasury position remains unfilled, along with other key roles in Education and Labor. In addition to Cabinet selections, Trump appointed Will Scharf as assistant to the president and White House staff secretary. He has been spending time at his Mar-a-Lago club and attending events, including a UFC fight in New York.
