Elon Musk's election claims on X reach 2 billion views, report finds

Elon Musk's posts on X about the U.S. election have been viewed over 2 billion times, according to a report from the Center for Countering Digital Hate. The analysis found at least 87 of his claims this year were rated as false or misleading.

Musk has been identified as the largest donor to a super PAC supporting Donald Trump, contributing over $118 million. His political posts have generated more views than all political ads on the platform combined since he endorsed Trump in July.

The CCDH report highlights Musk's promotion of false narratives about voter fraud and unreliable voting systems. Critics argue that X has become a platform for disinformation since Musk's acquisition, with many safeguards against false information removed.
