Elon Musk's SpaceX to deliver lunar vehicle for NASA's Artemis missions

Elon Musk's SpaceX will deliver a new lunar vehicle, the Lunar Terrain Vehicle (LTV), to the Moon's south pole. This vehicle, developed by Lunar Outpost, is designed for NASA's Artemis missions and will help astronauts navigate the Moon's challenging terrain. The LTV will be capable of operating in extreme temperatures, ranging from -203°C to 54°C. It will also feature autonomous driving technology, allowing it to move without human input. NASA has contracted multiple companies, including Lunar Outpost, to develop vehicles for lunar exploration through 2039. NASA's Artemis program aims to re-establish a human presence on the Moon, with the first crewed landing planned for mid-2027. The LTV will enhance astronauts' ability to explore and conduct scientific research on the lunar surface.
