Elton John felt disturbed by Michael Jackson's behavior
Elton John has shared his troubling memories of Michael Jackson, calling him "disturbing" and "mentally ill." John first met Jackson when he was just 13 years old. He described Jackson as an adorable child, but noted that later in life, Jackson became increasingly isolated from reality. In his memoir, Elton John expressed concern about Jackson's mental state during their later encounters. He said that Jackson appeared to have suffered greatly and described him as someone who had "totally lost his marbles." John emphasized that this was not meant lightly; he truly believed Jackson was mentally ill. Elton recalled a dinner party he hosted in the early 1990s, where Michael Jackson was a guest. He said Jackson looked unwell and refused to eat. Eventually, Jackson left the table without saying anything and was later found in a cottage playing video games with a young boy. Michael Jackson passed away in 2009 from a mix of drugs, leading to a homicide ruling. His doctor was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in 2011. These revelations come as a documentary, "Leaving Neverland 2," airs, focusing on allegations of abuse made against Jackson. His estate has denied all claims. A related lawsuit against Jackson's estate is set to go to trial in November 2026.
