Emma Raducanu celebrates British athletes' recent successes
Emma Raducanu expressed her happiness for fellow British athletes Jack Draper and Lando Norris after their recent successes. Draper won the Indian Wells title, while Norris claimed victory in the opening Formula One race of the 2025 season. Raducanu is currently preparing for the Miami Open, where she hopes to improve after a tough start to her season. Raducanu, 22, shared her excitement about Draper’s win, recalling their long friendship. She said, “He is someone I have known since we were so small.” Raducanu praised Draper's hard work and dedication, saying he truly deserves the success. When talking about Norris, Raducanu admitted she missed watching the race live because she was training all day. However, she was delighted to see him win after following his journey through the highlights. She mentioned that she was cheering for Norris before the race. Katie Boulter, the British No. 1, also praised Draper’s achievement and was not surprised by his victory over Holger Rune. She noted that Draper had recently entered the top 10 rankings for the first time. Boulter emphasized Draper's hard work, stating, “It’s nice to see the results come from the hard work he has put in.” Both Raducanu and Boulter are proud of their fellow British competitors and look forward to more successes in the future.
