Enrique Tarrio considers congressional run in Florida after Trump pardon

Enrique Tarrio, the former leader of the Proud Boys, is considering a run for Congress in Florida's District 1. This seat was recently vacated by Matt Gaetz, who left to pursue an attorney general bid. Tarrio, who was pardoned by Donald Trump after serving less than two years of a 22-year sentence, mentioned that many pardoned Jan. 6 rioters have encouraged him to run. He expressed interest in being in the Capitol building. He has also asked the media to stop referring to him as the "former leader" of the Proud Boys, indicating he may seek to regain control of the group.
