Ensure safety measures for Navratri fair in Balrampur
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Balrampur on Thursday to review preparations for the Chaitra Navratri State Fair 2025. He emphasized the need for safety and convenience for the thousands of devotees expected to attend. The Chief Minister ordered officials to install CCTV cameras throughout the fair area. He also highlighted the importance of making proper announcements and ensuring women's safety, including the establishment of changing rooms for women. The CM mentioned that the Maa Pateshwari Devi Shaktipeeth in Tulsipur attracts many devotees. He urged authorities to start preparations immediately to ensure a safe and secure environment. He called for effective crime control measures during the fair. Cleanliness was another key point. The CM insisted on a ban on single-use plastics and said there should be no waterlogging. He directed the administration to provide mobile toilets and proper garbage disposal. Adityanath praised the UP Police for their conduct during the recent Maha Kumbh and asked them to maintain that standard at the Navratri fair. He requested special arrangements for women’s safety, changing rooms, and parking. Transportation is also a focus area. The CM directed local officials to work closely with the Transport Corporation to ensure sufficient bus services, e-rickshaws, and taxis for devotees. During his visit, he also launched the logo and website for Maa Pateshwari University and received updates on its construction progress.
