Epic Universe opens May 22 with Celestial Park hub
Universal's new theme park, Epic Universe, is set to open on May 22, 2025. Located in Florida, the park will cost $7 billion and feature over 50 rides and attractions. A key area of the park will be Celestial Park, designed as a futuristic hub. It will act as the main entrance to four themed lands based on popular franchises like Harry Potter and Super Nintendo. Visitors will enjoy tree-lined walkways connecting multiple attractions, restaurants, bars, and a hotel. Celestial Park will feature three main attractions including the Stardust Racers roller coaster, which sends riders racing through the stars. There will also be the Constellation Carousel, allowing guests to ride on magical animals, and the Astronomica water play area that transforms into a light show at night. Food options will be diverse, ranging from a fine dining seafood restaurant to a quick-service pizza stand. Notable places include the Atlantic restaurant, designed like a Victorian aquarium, and the Blue Dragon restaurant, offering Pan-Asian dishes in a neon-lit setting. To accommodate the expected influx of visitors, Universal is opening three new hotels, including the Helios Grand Hotel, which will have 500 rooms and a rooftop bar. The park will provide shuttle services to connect with other Universal attractions. Epic Universe aims to provide a unique and immersive experience for guests, blending adventure and cosmic themes.
