Epsom Girls Grammar School acknowledges early complaint against teacher before misconduct occurred

Epsom Girls Grammar School has confirmed it received a complaint about teacher Peter Thomas months before he engaged in a sexual relationship with another student. The complaint was made in February 2019 regarding conduct from 2018. The school initially investigated the complaint from a student, who alleged Thomas was sexually aroused in class. Thomas denied the allegations, and the school found no grounds for action at that time. Later, Thomas was found guilty of serious misconduct and was removed from his teaching position after the sexual relationship with a music student came to light.
