Erewhon strawberry out of stock due to Japan snow
Erewhon, a high-end grocery store in Los Angeles, has seen its famous $19 strawberry sell out completely. The store is struggling to restock due to unusual snow in Japan affecting production. It is unclear when the strawberries will be available again. Erewhon is well-known for its organic and luxury products. The strawberries come from Tochigi Prefecture in Japan, known as the "Strawberry Kingdom." They are supplied by a vendor named Elly Amai. An employee mentioned that the store received around 200 strawberries each week, which sold out within hours. The strawberries gained popularity on social media, especially among influencers like Demi Lovato. However, not everyone is thrilled. Comedian Jason Nash has labeled the fruit a "scam." Recently, influencers Andrew "A.J." Befumo Jr. and his son bought 15 strawberries together. With the strawberries out of stock, influencers must look for other expensive items to showcase. Erewhon also offers a $400 pineapple for those interested in spending big.
