Etna woman charged with boyfriend's murder
An Etna woman was arrested on Friday and charged with murder in connection with her boyfriend's death. State Police responded to a 911 call at around 6:40 a.m. at a home on Old County Road. They found 41-year-old Luke Norris dead in the house. The cause of his death has not yet been determined. Heidi Tasker, 36, was taken into custody and is facing a murder charge. She was also taken to a local hospital for evaluation. Both Tasker and Norris lived together in the home. Authorities have sent Norris' body to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy to find out how he died. Tasker has a history of criminal activity. In 2011, she was sentenced to prison for a crash that killed her then-boyfriend, and in 2019, she was convicted of domestic violence assault. Tasker's criminal record includes multiple thefts and drug-related offenses. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
