Etna woman charged with boyfriend's murder, mental evaluation ordered
An Etna woman, Heidi Tasker, has been charged with murdering her boyfriend, Luke Norris. The incident occurred last week, and Tasker is now being referred for a mental evaluation, according to her attorney, Jeff Silverstein. Tasker, 36, was supposed to appear in court on Monday but will instead be seen next week. Silverstein said she was in a "high state of distress" and unable to focus during the call. He mentioned that she has mental health issues and is not receiving her medications while in jail. Norris, 41, was found dead with multiple stab wounds after police responded to a 911 call. Tasker's history includes a criminal record, dating back to 2011, where she was sentenced for a fatal rollover crash involving her then-boyfriend. She also served time for domestic violence assault in 2019. The court has ordered that Tasker be assessed for her competency to stand trial before her next court date, which has not yet been set.
